British Science Festival 2025 Community Grant

Plus One Community Learning CIC is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a British Science Festival 2025 Community Grant by the British Science Association (BSA).

The BSA want to support, grow and diversify the community of people who are interested and involved in science.  They provide grants to community groups/organisations based in the Liverpool City region that work directly with audiences who are traditionally underrepresented and currently not engaged in science activity. The BSA want to empower and support community groups to run their own science activities as part of the British Science Festival 2025, enabling new local audiences to engage with science

This exciting project will be run with a group of parents who are eager to explore how science is all around them – from the products in their homes to the food they cook every day. Through hands-on activities and discussions, parents will discover the everyday science that shapes our lives, making it fun, practical, and accessible. They’ll have lots of fun activities to do with their children at home sparking interest in all things scientific!

We’re thrilled to bring the wonder of science into our community and can’t wait to get started!
