Plus One is Taking Off in Speke & Garston

Thanks to the generosity of Liverpool Airport Community Fund, Plus One Community Learning is bringing our much-loved Help Your Child Thrive programme to Speke and Garston.

We couldn’t be more thrilled! These are communities we know well, and we’ve built strong, trusting relationships with local families. This grant means we can deliver real, practical support—helping parents feel confident in supporting their children’s learning while also opening the door to volunteering opportunities and community connection.

It’s about more than education—it’s about empowerment, belonging, and creating brighter futures together.

We’re so grateful to Liverpool Airport Community Fund for their support. With their help, families in Speke and Garston will have the chance to thrive like never before.

The Liverpool Airport Community Fund has been created by Liverpool John Lennon Airport to further develop and enhance their commitment to local communities and to help improve the surrounding environment.  Each year, funds are set aside to support projects that meet certain criteria to bring a range of benefits for local communities including the enhancement of the local environment, educational projects, community improvement and various sustainability initiatives.  Grants are prioritised for projects that benefit communities in Eastham, Garston, Hale, Halebank, Ditton, Halewood, Hunts Cross, Runcorn and Speke.
