Expanding Support for Families: From Primary Success to Secondary Transition
We are delighted to share our continued partnership with South Liverpool Homes, whose support has enabled us to successfully deliver our Help Your Child Thrive programme to families in Speke and Garston. Through this work, parents have built confidence and developed practical skills and strategies to support learning at home — making a meaningful difference to their children’s progress and wellbeing.
Building on this success, we are excited to be working with All Saints Multi Academy Trust to deliver our Help Your Teen Thrive transition programme for parents of new Year 7 students at The Academy of St Nicholas. This innovative 6-week programme supports parents from the very start of their child’s secondary school journey, equipping them with tools and strategies to ensure a smooth transition. It is particularly valuable for families of children with SEND, and this year includes an additional focus on EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance). Following strong outcomes in secondary schools last year at Archbishop Blanch C of E and St Margaret’s Cof E Academy, we are proud to be expanding this work and continuing to strengthen support for families and young people.
South Liverpool Homes currently own and manage approximately 3,850 homes in the South Liverpool area, predominantly in Speke and Garston. Part of their mission – Building homes to meet current and future needs whilst investing in existing homes. Building strong communities – places where people choose to live and stay – is exemplified in their support for our work.
